celebrate good times c'mon!
hello hello hellooo! was actually waiting for like someone to send the pictures of the sec 4 bbq night then can post the pictures but garhh, still havent got them yet. nvm! today is the awesome of all awesome days coz my last business exam is finally over so i can likeee so totally party pleaseeee!:DDD
okay this week was quite a handful. twins and shaunald flew off on monday. its quite funny, jian sheng suddenly got me to help out in the baby camp thingi(VBS) and overnight, i suddenly got involved in everything. at first i thought my week was gonna be totally free and boring studying at home but in the end, i ended up helping out with this... baby camp. HAHA sorry i just loveeee to call it that!
so yeahh, on tuesday we went down to help set up and prepare the place for the kids the next day. we did stuff like colouring turtles and fishes. and someone made a pink fish with a nose and lipstick too AHEM. we also painted some picture of like the sea, the sea bed and the divers and sth like that. put damn a lot of effort into it but turned out that it was only for decoration! such a..wasted effort. but it was alright i guess, coz in my opinion the children made it all worth it:P
wednesday to friday was the actually VBS thing. the sec fours who helped out in it were felice, jiansheng, jolene, nat, sandra and i. there were also the other guys like saul, cheryl, li en, eunice, vanessa, esther they all. never thought i'd sing one way this many times in my life. almost sang it twice a day everyday for the kiddos for their worship lah. now my voice is like going going going..... one thing i really loved about the kiddos is that they actually really sing along. like even if they dont know the song, once they get the hang of it they will start to sing along and its really just too amazing. and for one way they were really enthu and like awww mann i just love them lahh. if only YE was like that too, singing loudly and stuff, it wouldnt be half bad!
Nat and sandra also led worship for the kiddies too. for Nat, i think you did a great job at leading lah. like aunty karfoon keeps saying, you're a natural! HAHA. just remember to kiss-that-mic! think sandra also did a really nice job too! be more confident of yourself and you'll be fine! and like, you're singing isnt off lah! actually, you can sing what!:D hope yall can consider worship leading next time too so i wont be the only one: ( we need more singers yoo!!
apart from the worships, we also helped out in facilitating and taking care of the kids. like there were 2 main groups, the upper and lower primary wasit??? hahaha. anyway, jiansheng jolene and i helped out in the younger group while felice nat sandra helped out in the older group. think these small kiddos were really cute and adorable lah. i know its not good to show biasness but it was obvious who the more popular ones were! haha those like nigel, andre, manuel and others! i also got to know quite a number of kids too. kids like wang ching, angel, ariel, joanne and of course, there was vanessa ghui there too, and not forgeting my mum's students xinying and sylvia!
all in all i think i really enjoyed helping out in this baby camp thingi. thanks jiansheng! for suddenly getting me into it! HAHA. really had fun playing with all the kids, taking pictures with them, eating their food for them(hehh), helping them make keychains, teaching them dance steps, talking with them and being their friend. i think i'll probably become more enthusiastic towards the shepherd's kidz because of this:D ohh and if any of yall have pictures of the VBS please post them okay!:D
today was the last day of the baby camp. didnt manage to go with them in the morning when they did their activity at the airport coz i had an exam. went to church in the afternoon to join them and continued the usual activities. after the camp ended it was a bit anti climax for me coz i had to like rush back for my dental appointmentt and missed dinner with all you other guyss!:( im getting braces soon yall! got mixed feelings about it... hope everything turns out fine! went for scaling this evening and the dentist gave some funny green juice that im supposed to rinse my mouth with when i wake up and go to sleep. its funny, it smells just like uhu glue? damn nice to sniff lah. HAHA.
